Key removal by MIWA PR.LDSP key defect

"Suddenly lost the key"

The cylinder turns, but the key is stuck. I expected the cylinder to deteriorate over time, so I did the usual cleaning work, but I didn't feel like it was coming off at all.

After 10 minutes, there was no change in symptoms.I decided to take it apart and check. Since it is LDSP, the cylinder cannot be removed without a key.

Still, I didn't feel like it was coming off at all, and I didn't even feel like there was a foreign object. It was finally improved by pulling it out with a strong force.

However, when I checked the operation again, there was a defect phenomenon that could not be pulled out on the front and back of the key. I took off my gloves and checked the key (genuine MIWA) with my bare hands, and found a large burr on one side. It is a "burr" that overhangs the step point. It was a position that caught when pulling out.

If you drop the key, "burrs" may occur. I removed the "burr" with a diamond file, but there is a limit to how accurately it can be removed.

The other side is smooth, so there is no defect when inserting or removing the key. I told you to operate in this direction. As an emergency measure, I have done so far, so I proposed to put in a new key as soon as possible and it was completed. Also, the cylinder was not degraded enough to be replaced.
