U9.BH(DZ), broken key unlocking and key removal of store service door

"The lock to the back door of the store was broken before it opened."

The key to the service door for employees at a beauty salon in front of the JR station was broken, making it impossible to enter.

However, this place was a building along a fairly narrow road that entered from the main road. There is no coin parking nearby. If you don't finish the work early and remove the work vehicle, there's no guarantee that you won't be reported. We decided to check the site first. This is to select the necessary tools as it may break the lock.As expected, a horn honks to indicate that I'm in the way.I have no choice but to move the work vehicle out of the way quickly and go around the block.

Return to the scene. If you look closely you can see the deadbolt. It was U38.BH with a 9mm backset. It doesn't seem like it will break the lock. Before trying to turn the thumbturn, I tried turning the cylinder using the broken key, but it didn't turn.

I use the thumbturn tool, but it seems a little long.I tried several times but it wouldn't turn.I was able to unlock it by cutting and adjusting the tool and trying again. It will be inefficient if you don't use the right tools.

Now, the next step is to remove the key, but since it's BH, you can't remove the cylinder without the key. It took about 10 minutes, but I pulled out the damaged part directly through the keyhole. (If it didn't come out with this, I was planning to cut part of the tailpiece with a special tool and remove it.The tailpiece is a junk part.)
