MIWA PR.13LA, inspection and repair of locking/unlocking malfunction

"It's become more common for the key to not turn."

This is a fairly old property, built 37 years ago. Moreover, it was a condominium-style apartment building that stood on top of a cliff. Therefore, the approach from the road to the site was far, so we had to travel on foot.

When inspecting for malfunctions, we found that the door was difficult to open and close, the door frame was severely distorted, and there were about 3 areas of interference.

Further checking revealed that the positional relationship between the deadbolt and the strike was also questionable. The clearance with the strike position seems to be 2 to 3 mm.However, it was dark and difficult to see, but it seemed like a part of the Toro was sticking out.Because of this, we were able to confirm that it was interfering with the deadbolt. This was improved by retracting this protruding part with a hammer. It was dark so it took me a while to check.
