ALPHA ed-Lock with Patante Inspection of malfunction due to battery shortage

"Unlocking defect due to unstable deadbolt operation"

On the front is the manufacturer's name and model number "COSMO KINKI", which I have never seen before.

When I interviewed them, I was told that the deadbolt was unstable. I wonder if it's a lack of torque, aging deterioration of the lock case, or perhaps a defect in the Patante.

I checked each one one by one to determine the cause. Remove the front and spray clean the lock case. It was a MIWA compatible LA type.

Next, remove the patante and check the thumbturn operation. I'll check it after reassembling it, but it doesn't seem right.

Try removing the battery cover and replacing the battery. As a result, stable operation was restored. It looks like the existing battery is already running low. Sometimes the deadbolt doesn't move, and sometimes there's no alert sound. Needs replacement immediately.
