MARUEM CREW suitcase, magnetic lock repair

"My suitcase won't close because the lock is broken."

It is said that it is a suitcase inherited from his grandfather. Apparently, it can't be operated because it doesn't have a key, but since the key won't close, the lid can't be closed either.

When we arrived at the scene, we found a large luggage with the magnetic key lever floating in the open position. They don't know where they bought it, and they don't know where to get it repaired. The magnetic rotary switch has stopped halfway, so it remains in place without returning. Because of this, it seems that the lever can only be closed halfway.

He said he had no intention of using the door since the key was already gone, but he said he should just close it anyway. I wonder if it's a mechanism similar to a motorcycle shutter. To confirm the polarity, I tried to check it with a motorcycle magnet tool and make a temporary key, but the magnetic force on the suitcase side is so small that I can't determine the polarity. .

Since it was unnecessary to restore the key functions, I ended up disassembling it and looking at it. There were three magnets and springs, but the springs were deformed. Therefore, it is thought that the magnet got caught in the middle and caused malfunction. Reassemble and confirm that the lever is securely locked and you're done.
