Electric lock alarm does not stop ringing MIWA AL-05.ANS disassembly adjustment

"Electric lock alarm won't stop ringing"

It seems that SECOM was there, but they told me to call a locksmith because the key was defective. It is said to be malfunctioning due to wear and tear.

Well, where is the wear and tear?I checked various things.

  • The gap between the front and strike is a little wider. It is possible that the magnet is not detected correctly. This gap of about 6mm was adjusted to about 3mm.However, this was not the cause.
  • The thumb screw is quite loose. The door is also warped. It didn't close completely. The latch bolt is also misaligned.Additionally, we managed to fix the distortion that could cause instability in sensing distance with magnets in strikes. But this was also not the cause.

I cleared all the lock and door fixes, but the alarm keeps going off.Sound is coming from the sequencer.Even if the door is closed and the deadbolt is fully automatic, the contact relay is still making noise.

The cause was the magnet switch on the door. There was also a case where the door did not close properly due to distortion, but that was cleared by correcting the door.

If you bring another magnet closer as a test, the switch will work and the alarm will go off.If you look closely, the positions of the switch and the magnet are misaligned. This magnet was not just a screw, it was firmly adhered and could not be removed by force.

Therefore, since it is SECOM's repair range, tell SECOM to call again and it will be completed.

Corporate electric locks are mostly malfunctions of the system rather than keys. This is because if the system is not monitored by a sequencer, it is not possible to know if the sensor is causing the alarm.

SECOM has also met with various people in charge, but there are quite a few situations where I have doubts about how to deal with them.I guess it was just a visual observation without a monitor this time.
