WEST554, large iron entrance door malfunctioning unlocking repair

"Request for Unlocking the entrance door where the door does not open even when the key is inserted"

A double-locked detached house with a main lock and an auxiliary lock.It was at an intersection in a small residential area. This problem was more pronounced than unlocking because there was almost no parking space.

I hit the back door against an obstacle and dented it, but I managed to solve the parking problem.

By the way, the target is a large parent-child type iron door. 2500mm is a heavy door that seems likely. It seems that the key on the upper side of this entrance has stopped turning. The main lock is a lever type. The design is not suitable for this heavy door. The auxiliary lock is WEST554 auxiliary lock.

This kind of trouble is often caused by poor position adjustment with the strike due to the distortion of the door, but is this the case again? The locking operation of the cylinder seems to be no problem, but the situation is that it does not turn to the unlocking side.

I checked the gap between the door and the outer frame, checked the distortion, and slowly corrected it with an airbag, and it was unlocked.

By the way, when I check the strike, it looks like a rough installation. The cause is that the deadbolt is on the strike for NDZ.

I think I made a mistake in the mounting holes. The traces of a sloppy drill that tried to extend the strike somehow remained ugly.

Repairing the door distortion requires hinge adjustment, but it's not so bad, so I moved the strike position down 8mm.The processing to this iron door is difficult due to its hardness. Is it hardened or hard?

It was finally finished, and I was able to install it in a position with plenty of room so that there would be no problem even if the door was distorted for a while.
