ALPHA ed-Lock, battery cover unlocking failure inspection and repair

"I tried to replace the battery, but the cover won't come off."

The customer tried to replace the battery himself, but apparently the cover would not come off. She unlocked the bypass as usual, but the situation was quite troublesome. There doesn't seem to be any gap at all, so the tool won't fit in.

The cover is slowly coming out towards you, but you can't pull it out all at once. After trying various methods, I was finally able to pull it out. It seems that the fit with the main body is tight. The interlock was also made of resin (polycarbonate) instead of stainless steel.

Since it seems that this type (without a cutout for maintenance) will continue to be distributed in large quantities, we will need to change the interlock release method, unlike the old stainless steel switch (which has a visible cutout for maintenance). Let's create a gap on the back side by prying from the gap in the front.
