Inspection and repair of thumbturn operation defect, U9-CP-NDR-1AT

"Sometimes the thumbturn locks up and won't turn."

What are the symptoms of thumbturn locking? When I searched for the property on Google, I found that the front door was equipped with a MIWA CP-NDR auxiliary lock.

I wasn't sure if the thumbturn on the indoor side was a B5 type, but it doesn't seem to be a push-pull handlebar type.

When we arrived and checked, we found that all the units had been installed. The thumbturn was of the standard type. Although no problem was found when checking the unit's operation, a defect was found with the door closed.

The NDR body was installed diagonally, and the deadbolt was not inserted all the way into the strike, leaving it in a half-finished state. When you check the strike, it is carved into the concrete of the frame. There were some concrete fragments left behind, and it seems that these were interfering with the deadbolt, causing it to lock halfway.

I slightly reworked the engraving on the strike, corrected the tilted body, and adjusted it to be as far away from the strike as possible. That's it!
